LIMBANG: State and federal level civil servants should work together so that the services provided by agencies and ministries could benefit the people.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the state government has a comprehensive development agenda and certainly needs support from all sectors.

“Our plans are holistic and inclusive so everyone is responsible for all this to be successfully implemented,” he said.

Awang Tengah was speaking at an appreciation night organised by the Immigration Department Limbang Division and Limbang Resident Office at a hotel here on Saturday.

“Through the Northern Region Development Authority (NRDA), RM1.5 billion has been allocated for infrastructure projects, basic necessities, entrepreneurship, tourism, and human development.

“The success of these projects, with teamwork, will certainly be a catalyst for the development of Sarawak’s northern region,” he said.

He also said he would do his best so that Sarawak’s vision to become a developed nation by 2030 can be achieved by using all available resources to their full potential.

Also present at the event were Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Native Land and Regional Development Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismai, Batu Danau assemblyman Paulus Palu Ngumbang and Lawas MP Datuk Henry Sum Agong.
