KUCHING: The state government, through Koperasi Harapan Sarawak Berhad (Kohab), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for Deduction of Employers Remuneration (PGM) with Co-opbank Pertama Malaysia Bhd (CBP) today.

CBP chief executive officer Mohd Nor Abdul Razak said the memorandum was to effectively increase business and attract the community to become CBP Kuching branch customers, especially in opening savings accounts and applying for its personal financing products.

“The MoU outlined cooperation areas, including market conduct supervision, consumer protection and financial inclusion.

“In recognition of these important financial developments, the MoU reflects enhanced cooperation between the two corporations and to ensure financial stability and sustainable financial development,” he told the press.
