MARUDI: Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Bumiputera Sarawak (Tegas) has nothing but praises for the state government’s efforts in promoting science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects.

This was said by Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau during the launching ceremony of the ‘Project of Dream Realised Roadshow’ (Pro-Dr Roadshow) yesterday.

He added that the state government led by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg have various attainable plans put in place to ensure the current and future generations of the state will be able to gain knowledge to make them able to compete here in Malaysia and as well as abroad.

He pointed out that the youth of today should grab the various opportunities that were provided.

“But one thing is for sure — without government stability in our state, this cannot be achieved as it really requires long term planning,” he explained.

On the roadshow, Dennis hopes that it will be organised at more remote locations to give school leavers a chance to familiarise themselves with the opportunities provided for them to further their studies.
