SEBUYAU: The Sarawak government has implemented various infrastructural facilities in rural areas and will continue to do so.

Infrastructure and Ports Development Assistant Minister Datuk Julaihi Narawi said such is the commitment of the state government in bringing development into rural areas including Kampung Sungai Ladong.

“The people, after this, will enjoy widespread development if the current Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government is still given the mandate to govern,” he said when attending the ‘Leaders with the People’ programme in Kampung Sungai Ladong, Sebangan here on Sunday (Dec 13).

Julaihi, who is also Sebuyau assemblyman, added that the construction of bridges and roads is also taken into consideration, and road repair works have been expedited.

During the programme, he also officiated at a Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) grant presentation ceremony.

A total of RM200,000 is given to Kampung Sungai Ladong C Activity Centre and RM800,000 for the village’s road.

Apart from that, 60 people received food donation from the Sarawak Association of Wives of Ministers and Assistant Ministers (Sabati), which was presented by its exco, who is also Julaihi’s wife, Datin Saadiah Buji.
