SIBU: State Health director Datuk Dr Mohamed Sapian Mohamed paid a visit to the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sentosa mobile vaccination centre (PPV) here last Sunday (July 25).

Also accompanying him were Sibu Health officer Dr Teh Jo Hun and Sibu Municipal Council Sentosa Zone committee member Nazatusyima Bujang.

During the visit, apart from inspecting the vaccination process, Sapian also had the opportunity to chat with the staff at the centre.

He was also amazed to see how a bus (owned by University College of Technology Sarawak) was successfully transformed into a mobile PPV.

Meanwhile, Nazatusyima, who is also SK Sentosa’s vaccination programme coordinator, said 190 people have received their Covid-19 vaccine.

“The Sibu Health officials have gone from house to house to locate those who have yet to be vaccinated. The response to the two-day programme was very good.

“Plus, it was a sweet memory for all vaccine recipients as well as the mobile PPV staff when Sapian, newly appointed as the state Health director on June 14, visited us here,” she added.
