BINTULU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim received a courtesy call from state ministers in Putrajaya on Thursday.

The group included Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication (Communication) and Belaga assemblyman Datuk Liwan Lagang, Minister in the Premier’s Department and Kakus assemblyman Datuk John Sikie Tayai and Murum assemblyman Kennedy Chukpai Ugon.

Also present were Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah, Sarawak Affairs, and Special Duties) and Hulu Rajang MP Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong.

During the meeting, they discussed about different issues like improving rural development, setting up the Customs, Immigration, Quarantine, and Security (CIQS) Complex, road connectivity and other developments for rural areas.

Later, Chukpai thanked Anwar for meeting with them and being open to their ideas.
