KUCHING: Sarawak has been hailed for its leadership, guiding the state towards political stability, progressive, and a harmonious society.

Political observer Datuk Peter Minos relayed this praise, originally from a friend in Kuala Lumpur who has closely followed Sarawak’s development.

According to Minos, the state’s achievements are a testament to the government led by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

“Sarawak’s leadership is progressive, proactive, innovative, and creative. We are proud of our achievements and the fact that Malaysia looks to us for advice.

“Our rapid modernisation and progress have surpassed our expectations,” he said in a statement recently.

He foresees further advancements for Sarawak by 2030, including leading in various sectors and providing free tertiary education to all Sarawakians by 2026.

“Our goal is to increase our GDP to RM280 billion by 2030, alongside improving housing and utilities for everyone. It’s truly remarkable,” he added.
