KUCHING: Sarawak on Sunday (Sept 5) recorded 15 Covid-19 deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 564.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the 505th death was that of a 69-year-old local woman from Kuching who tested positive on Aug 23. She was admitted to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and had a history of kidney disease.

The 551st death involved a 68-year-old local man from Serian who was brought in dead (BID) to Serian Hospital. He tested positive on Aug 30 and had a history of high blood pressure.

The 552nd death was that of a 79-year-old local man from Serian who was BID to Serian Hospital. He tested positive on Aug 15 and had a history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

The 553rd death involved a 90-year-old man from Samarahan who tested positive on Aug 26. He was admitted to the SGH and had a history of high blood pressure and stroke.

The 554th death was that of a 77-year-old man from Kuching. He was also admitted to the SGH and tested positive on Aug 26. He had a history of COPD.

Meanwhile, the 555th death was that of a 79-year-old woman from Kuching who was admitted to the SGH. She tested positive on Aug 29 and had a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, dyslipidaemia and kidney disease.

The 556th death involved a 24-year-old local man in Betong who was admitted to the Sarikei Hospital. He tested positive on Sept 3 and had a history of obesity.

The 557th death was that of a 65-year-old woman from Saratok who was admitted to the Sarikei Hospital. He tested positive on Aug 27 and had a history of high blood pressure, diabetes and kidney disease.

The 558th death was that of a 60-year-old local woman from Kuching. She was admitted to the SGH after testing positive on Aug 31.

The 559th death was that of a 76-year-old local woman who was also admitted to the SGH. She tested positive on Sept 1.

The 560th death involved a 66-year-old local woman from Sibu who was admitted to the Sibu Hospital. She tested positive on Aug 18 and had a history of high blood pressure, diabetes and dyslipidaemia.

The 561st death was that of a 61-year-old local woman from Kuching who was admitted to SGH. She tested positive on Aug 16 and had a history of high blood pressure and gout.

The 562nd death was that of an 81-year-old man from Kuching who was admitted to SGH. He tested positive on Sept 3.

The 563rd death involved a 70-year-old man from Kuching who was admitted to the SGH. He tested positive on Sept 3 and had a history of high blood pressure, dyslipidaemia and gout.

The final death recorded was that of a 97-year-old man who was also admitted to the SGH and tested positive on Sept 3. He had a history of high blood pressure and heart disease.
