State records 22 new cases

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 22 new Covid-19 cases on Friday (Feb 4).

The total number of cases now stands at 252,903.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said in its Covid-19 daily statement that all 22 cases recorded are in categories 1 and 2.

Nine compounds were issued by the authorities for failure to scan MySejahtera QR code before entering public premises.

Kuching topped the list with 10 cases, followed by five cases in Sibu and three in Kapit.

Miri, Simunjan, Lundu and Samarahan all recorded one case, respectively.

Besides, 97 individuals were under surveillance while 232 were under quarantine.

The total of persons under surveillance who had been discharged was 165,794.

No active clusters and fatality recorded on Friday.
