State registers seven fatalities

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded seven new Covid-19 death cases, bringing the death toll in the state to 540 on Thursday (Sept 2).

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the fatalities involved five women and two men.

The 534th death was a 68-year-old woman from Tebedu District who was confirmed positive on Aug 30.

She passed away in Serian Hospital and she had comorbid of high blood pressure, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease.

The 535th death was a 78-year-old woman from Song District who was confirmed positive on Aug 30.

Her body was brought to Kapit Hospital and she had high blood pressure and stroke.

The 536th death was a 68-year-old man from Sri Aman District who tested positive for Covid-19 on Aug 30.

He passed away in Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and he had comorbid of high blood pressure and diabetes.

The 537th death was an 81-year-old woman from Kuching District who was confirmed positive on Aug 24.

The 538th death was a 77-year-old man from Kuching District who was confirmed positive on Sept 1.

He passed away in Sarawak General Hospital and he had comorbid of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and chronic kidney disease.

The 539th death was a 40-year-old woman from Sibu District and she was confirmed positive on July 26.

Her body was brought to Sibu Hospital and she had comorbid of chronic liver disease and heart disease.

The 540th death was a 56-year-old woman from Subis District who was confirmed positive on Aug 23.

She passed away in Miri Hospital and she had comorbid of high blood pressure and dyslipidemia.
