The state government will continue to focus on strengthening its civil service, said the Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Talib Zulpilip.

He revealed that it was necessary to form Innovative and Creative groups (KIKs) in all government sectors to empower the civil service.

Speaking to the media at a press conference yesterday, the minister shared that five KIKs from the state civil service had been awarded five stars.

The five KIKs were HARMONY 2 and CLICKERS from the State Treasury Department, MEKATRIK 7 and PROBE from Kuching North City Hall and PRODIGY 6 from the Sarawak State Library.

“We are proud to announce that our state civil servants received the recognition during the Annual Productivity and Innovation Conference and Exposition (APIC) 2019 held last Nov 5-7,” added Talib.

According to him, HARMONY 2 and PROBE have been listed in Top 20 Best Civil Service groups for the state category.

“FMB from Kuching North City Hall and NADIM of the Sarawak State Library were awarded four stars.

“PRODIGY 6 was awarded with the Industry Awards 4.0,” said the minister.

He added the prestigious convention hosted by Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) was participated by 300 KIK groups from 125 government agencies and departments in Malaysia.
