STIDC donates RM48,000 to charity

KUCHING: Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) handed over contributions to the less fortunate as part of its corporate social responsibility in the month of Ramadan.

The recipients were Malaysian Muslim Welfare Organisation (Perkim) Lawas branch, Community Sports Club (KSK) Satok, and Harakah Islamiah (Hikmah) Kuching branch, which received RM30,000, RM8,000, and RM10,000 respectively.

STIDC general manager Hashim Bojet presented the donations to representatives of the organisations yesterday.

The donations were to help the underprivileged groups, disabled individuals, senior citizens, ‘mualaf’, as well as orphaned children.

The cheque presentation ceremony was witnessed by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
