MUKAH: A number of senior citizens who sent their applications for the Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) as early as last May have yet to receive their cards.

One of them is the mother of Mukah division Welfare Community Department officer, Haslinda Supu.

According to Haslinda, Mukah was still waiting for its turn to get its applicants’ KGC printed.

“You are not the only one waiting for the KGC as my mother is also waiting. She applied for it last May and is still waiting until now, with no news about it thus far,” she told New Sarawak Tribune via WhatsApp on Thursday.

She was asked about the time frame for an applicant to receive the KGC from the time the application was submitted.

Haslinda added every month she called (Welfare Community Department Kuching Office) to enquire about the status of the applications.

Meanwhile, she called on the applicants, whose KGC had been received by the department here to come to the office to collect their cards.
