SIBU: Residents here are advised to brace for a temporary water supply disruption and low water pressure in certain areas starting from 10 pm on Aug 16.
The scheduled disruption is due to the replacement of an electromagnetic flow meter at the raw water intake station located on Jalan Kong Yit Khim.
The Sibu Water Board in a statement today said the upcoming maintenance work is anticipated to last four to six hours.
“We will, however, complete the work as soon as possible and restore water supply in stages,” it said.
In the event of adverse weather conditions on the slated date, the replacement of the electromagnetic flow meter will be rescheduled for August 17.
The Sibu Water Board urged consumers to take proactive measures by storing adequate amount of water to prepare for the disruption period.
