LIMBANG: A man not only lost his motorcycle but also found it burnt by the thief known to him. The man said that the motorcycle was worth RM1,500. He has lodged a police report on the case which happened at Kampung Anak Bukit here at 7am last Saturday.

According to Limbang District Police chief, Superintendent Mohd Bukhori Saffai they have identified the suspect following information provided by the motorcycle owner. The case is being investigated under Section 436 of the Penal Code.

In a separate case, a 53-yearold civil servant said that his 40 hp outboard engine was stolen at 1.30am last Sunday.

He estimated his loss to be RM3,500. The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code. Apart from the two theft cases, a drug abuse case was also recorded after an Indonesian worker was nabbed in an operation conducted on Sunday. The suspect’s urine was found positive of Methamphetamine and the case in being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act, 1952.
