MUKAH: The Welfare Community Department of this division here so far has four local strategic partners.

These are outlets or business premises where Kenyalang Gold Cards (KGC) holders can enjoy the benefits provided by the card.

This was revealed by the department’s divisional officer Haslinda Supu to New Sarawak Tribune via WhatsApp yesterday.

She said the four strategic partners are i-Care Optics, Standard Optical Centre, Mukah Consultancy Services Centre and Hock Peng Organisation (Li Hua Hotel).

According to her, i-Care Optics is offering 15 percent discount to KGC holders for frame and all lens purchased at its outlet while Standard Optical Centre is giving 50 percent discount/rebate on its optical goods.

Mukah Consultancy Services is offering three percent discount/rebate on insurance premium for motors, fire, theft, public liability, contractor all risks, workmen compensation, personal accident and medical care.

Meanwhile, Hock Peng Organisation (Li Hua Hotel) is giving five percent discount for accommodation or food and beverage outlets.

The KGC, introduced by the government through the Ministry of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development last year, is meant to help senior citizens aged 60 years and above.

Among the benefits of KGC include holders being given privilege to enjoy discounts or rebates offered by the strategic partners for goods purchased and services provided.
