The pangolin returns to its natural habitat.

MIRI: A pangolin has two civicminded residents to thank for its safe return to its natural habitat here.

A woman handed over the anteater to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) Miri Region office.

The custodian of national parks and wildlife said the pangolin was in good and safe condition when it was handed over by the individual.

“The individual said the pangolin was handed over to her by another member of the public.

“We have safely released the animal to its natural habitat,” SFC said today.

SFC reminded members of the public who have information about the capture, hunting and trading of fully protected wildlife to contact its hotline at 019-8859996 (Kuching), 019-8883561 (Sibu), 019-8332737 (Bintulu), or 019-8290994 (Miri).
