SRI AMAN: Students should strive for holistic excellence through the Physical, Emotional, Spiritual and Intellectual (Jeri) concept.

Assistant Minister for Community Wellbeing Datuk Francis Harden Hollis said the Jeri concept aimed at producing quality human capital.

“Quality human capital is capable of improving the quality of life of a family and move them out of the shackles of poverty,” he said when officiating at SJK(C) Chung Hua Bangkong’s newly upgraded school hall in Pantu over the weekend.

He stressed that academic excellence would guarantee a better future for the children as they could meet the demands of the job market.

At the function, Harden presented a grant of RM25,000 from his minor rural project (MRP) fund to the school’s management board to finance its activities.
