KUCHING: Universiti Teknologi Mara’s (UiTM) student Fareizan Ismail, 19, from Kuching drove home a brand new car worth RM29,000 when he won the grand prize in the ‘Spin-to-Win Contest’ organised by Bus Asia yesterday.

Fareizan, a first year student in Public Administration, was one of the 200 contestants selected by the organiser for the Spin-to-Win Contest yesterday.

“I am speechless. I still can’t believe that I have won the grand prize. Maybe it was my luck as it was my birthday which fell on 3 November,” he said when interviewed after he received the keys to his new car from Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, who is Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports at the prize giving held at Plaza Merdeka here, yesterday.

Fareizan added that he has never owned his own car before as he used to drive his father’s car.
The contestants were picked from among thousands of Bus Asia’s customers throughout Sarawak.
