KUCHING: Fifteen members of the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Stampin District from Youth Unit Y193 of the Lodge International School recently visited the residents of Sarawak Cheshire Home at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here.

The visit was led by the unit’s youth officer Leslie Ong and head section leader Truman Lo.

At the home, they spent quality time with the residents and interacted with them. They also entertained them with music before presenting them with some groceries, adult diapers and RM200.

The residents were overwhelmed by the warm-hearted gestures of the children.

The unit’s secretary Wee Tze Yee said, “I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to visit the Home. It was truly an eye-opening and memorable learning experience.

“It teaches us that while we are fortunate to be able to live in a proper house, we should share our love and care with the underprivileged group in our community by visiting them regularly and providing them with the necessary support and assistance.”
