KUCHING: A pile-up yesterday at Mile 62, Jalan Selangau-Bintulu involving a car, a van and a tanker truck injured a number of students.
The car carried four persons; the van contained 16 students while the truck driver was alone.
The van was taking the students back from school at about 1.52pm when it collided with the tanker and the car.
The van was badly damaged and some of the injured students were taken to Selangau and Balingian health clinic by members of the public and an ambulance.
The tanker driver and four persons in the car escaped with minor injuries.
