Successful women entrepreneurs receive awards

MUKAH:  Seven successful women entrepreneurs under Mukah branch of Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) scheme received Entrepreneur Awards here on Saturday.

The recipients who took home plaques and certificates are Hasimah Arib from Dalat Block 1, Natijah Yunus (Dalat Block 2), Rohaya Arbi (Mukah Block 1), Siti Asun Saibi (Mukah Block 2), Sofiah Mostapha (Seberang Mukah Block), Halipah Sihu (Balingian Block 1) and Pudai Bansan (Balingian Block 2).

The award was in recognition of their achievement and contribution to entrepreneurship development here.

These women entrepreneurs are also known as ‘sahabat AIM’ (friends of AIM), and obtained their business capital from AIM Mukah branch.

AIM Training, Education and Innovation Section director Said Muhamad Khalil  Abdul Madza presented the awards to the recipients during Fiesta Sahabat AIM 2019 at Dataran Pehin Setia Raja here.

Said also presented Block Award FC to Balingian Block 1 and ‘Let’s Join AIM’ campaign Award to Mukah Block1.

He said Mukah branch has 2,549 friends of AIM as at Oct 12, with 367 new friends registered this year.

“Congratulations to all Mukah AIM staff for their efforts in assisting the growth of this branch,” he said when officiating at the fiesta.

Said revealed that from January to September 2019, AIM had lent out a total of RM11.7 million to small entrepreneurs in Mukah to help finance their businesses.

He advised the recipients to utilise the loan wisely and take the opportunity to strengthen their businesses.

AlM regional manager Hasbi Naziri, Mukah branch manager Maseri Hasbie and Mukah Kelab Integriti Usahanita chairperson Hawi Syafie also attended the event.
