PADAWAN: Native Land Development Assistant Minister Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn has described Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng’s remark that Sarawak would go bankrupt if GPS continued to govern the state as “irrelevant.”

Lim made the remark during a dinner organised by Sarawak Democratic Action Party (DAP) in Kuching last Friday.

Sagah accused Lim of making the remark in order to win votes from Sarawakians ahead of the next state election.

The assistant minister pointed out that the state government did not use the reserve money for the state’s expenditure.

“The budget comes from all the proceeds and resources available in Sarawak,” he explained when met at the launch of Ga’ak Danu festival and tagang system at Kampung Danu here yesterday.
