Sultan of Selangor flies in for UPM Bintulu Campus convocation

BINTULU: Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah flew in at 1pm for a visit.

His arrival was welcomed by Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker, Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar.

Right after that, prayers were performed led by Imam of Sarawak, Datuk Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi.

During his visit here, Sultan Sharafuddin would attend a dinner at Parkcity Everly Hotel later Monday (Oct 31).

The next day, he would attend the 46th Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Bintulu Campus convocation ceremony in the morning, followed by lunch before flying back to Kuala Lumpur in the afternoon.

Also present to welcome Sultan Sharafuddin on Monday were Minister for Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development, Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom; Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, and State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.
