KUALA LUMPUR: Swinburne University Technology of Sarawak recently took part in the Health Policy Summit 2022 held at the World Trade Centre here.

The Health Policy Summit 2022 held from Aug 15 to 16 with the aim to discuss and plan the future of the country’s health system through the development of the Health White Paper.

The university stated that its Head of School of Information and Communication Technologies and director of Centre for Digital Future Professor Patrick Then was invited as one of the panelists.

During the panel on ‘Digital Transformation: Reimagining Healthcare’, Then shared his thoughts on current and future predictive medicine.

“I’m privileged to have the opportunity to be invited to share thoughts and ideas for the Health White Paper that will pave the country’s healthcare system in the next 10 to 15 years.

“I fully concur with Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin’s vision to keep 10 million rakyat healthy for another 10 years,” said Then.

Then said the cough sound Artificial Intelligence research collaboration with the Institute for Clinical Research, National Institutes of Health and Ministry of Health could be a cornerstone for digital transformation in the healthcare industry.

“At the summit, I had the opportunity to meet Khairy, influential decision makers from his ministry and numerous industry leaders,” he added.
