Sungai Tellian floating market committee formed

MUKAH: A working committee for the yet-to-be-launched Sungai Tellian floating market here was formed on Wednesday.

Members of the committee (parent and special taskforce) were appointed during a meeting, which was chaired by Peter Taki at the Kampung Seri Tellian multipurpose hall.

Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo was appointed as patron of the parent committee, while it appointed ketua kaum (KK) John Batin, Bonaventure Juana Lupuih, William Laju as advisors I, II and III respectively, and Peter as manager.

Others in the parent committee are Zaini Jeraie (assistant manager), Lynciana Lutter (secretary), Jonathan Susek (marketing manager), Angela Bujang (assistant marketing manager), Simon Tai (operation manager) and assistant operation managers Jetson Nawis (activity), Romeo Mun (food sale), Bibiana Akup and Kenny Tambi (participants’ welfare), Yoka Lawrence and Diana Stanislaus (youth).

Dominic Balo was appointed as finance manager, whose assistant is Christina Bera Bukus, while Suffian Abus as sales manager and will be assisted by Magdelina Yeo (souvenir), James Anthony, Sweton Laberi and Andrea James.

The others are Jason John (human resource manager), Japheth Albert and Sebastian Dick (assistant resource managers), Frederick Uloh (purchasing manager) and Germanus Akup (assistant purchasing manager).

The special taskforce committee comprises publicity/media (Alwin Lawrence [leader], Duwin Udih and Ramai Sukup); security (Dura Bata [leader], John Aris, Donis Jeraie, Saini Jeraie, Amedius Darimi, Mohd Hairi @ Philip Balo and Monica Dom); and maintenance (Michael Dick [leader], John Fabian Carmillus, Petrus Ara, Anthony Hill, Robert Telasai, Lawrence Bukus, Eprhem Upit, Adrin Gida, Damian Hella Joseph and Terance Tini).

Also present at the meeting were Kampung Seri Tellian KK Bonaventure Juana Lupuih and Kampung Tradisi Tellian KK John Batin.

On Nov 23, Yussibnosh, when officiating at the soft launch of a new development initiative, MukahXtra, announced the proposal of a Sungai Tellian floating market. It is expected to be launched at the end of this year.

The floating market is linked to MukahXtra, which has seven components, namely XtraCulture, XtraTourism, XtraCreative, XtraEconomy, XtraYouth, XtraLocal and XtraSafe.
