KUCHING: In Kota Samarahan, a storage unit inside a supermarket at Desa Ilmu caught fire last Sunday night (July 19).
The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) despatched firemen from Kota Samarahan fire station to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 7.45pm.
On arrival, the firemen found that the fire, which was on the second floor, had destroyed some goods.
It was reported that the entire second floor was used as a storage unit and there were six sections on the floor.
Two sections and the walls and ceilings of two other sections were destroyed by the fire that was extinguished at 10.31pm.
