MIRI: More than 200 packets of food rations will be delivered to needy families and daily wagers in this district that are affected by the movement control order (MCO) following the Covid-19 outbreak.

Members of Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Piasau branch led by its chairman Datuk Sebastian Ting and other volunteers were busy packing the food rations inside a convenience store in Piasau here, yesterday.

According to Ting who is also SUPP secretary-general, these food rations consists of nine items would be delivered to the needy families once they done with packing the food rations.

“It is one of the best ways we can help and reach out to the people affected by the MCO,” said Ting.

He added that he hoped more volunteers would come forward to help the needy during this trying time.
