SARIKEI: Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii remains the choice of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Sarikei as a candidate to contest the Repok seat in the next state election.
The decision was made during the SUPP Sarikei general meeting held at the Repok Service Centre on August 3.
SUPP Sarikei branch secretary Anthony Tan proposed that Huang be the candidate for the Repok seat in the next state election.
The motion unanimously supported by all committee members present.
Commenting on the support, Huang thanked the party members for their trust.
“Whether I contest or not, I leave it to the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“If I am elected again, I will do my best to defend the people in Repok state constituency,” he said.
