KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Women chief Kho Teck Wan has declined to comment on where Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) stands at the moment regarding the resignation of the federal Cabinet.

However, she said that she has full confidence in Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and GPS’ leadership in making the best decision with Sarawakian’s interest as its priority.

She said this when contacted by the New Sarawak Tribune yesterday (Aug 16) to comment on the King’s consent to Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to act as caretaker prime minister until a new prime minister is appointed.

At the same time, she also said that all politicians should put their differences aside and focus on the people’s health and well-being during this difficult time.

“I hope we can have the federal issue settled as soon as possible in view of the pandemic in Malaysia and Sarawak,” she said.
