Supporting youth to become entrepreneurs

KUCHING: “Lan Berambeh Anak Miri” was held here on Tuesday night as part of efforts to encourage young people to be actively involved in business.

The programme was attended by Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Labour, Immigration and Project Monitoring) Datuk Gerawat Gala in support of local businesses especially those that involved youths

At the event which was held at the Seahorse Seafood Topspot at level 6, Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) building here, he said that it was encouraging to see young people nowadays actively involving themselves in business.

“The state government is supporting our young people to become entrepreneurs as it can contribute to the growth of the economy,” he said.

He added that the government has set up a lot of agencies and facilities to assist young people who wanted to learn to start a business.
