SIBU: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bawang Assan branch yesterday paid a visit to 15 longhouses in the constituency.

The visit was led by SUPP Bawang Assan branch chairman Robert Lau Hui Yew.

Also present were SUPP Bawang Assan branch deputy chairman Tang Chin Teck, secretary Jason Tay, Youth chief Elson Tie, and political secretary to the chief minister Daniel Bujal.

In his speech, Lau stressed that the constituency has counsellors who are ready to help solve the people’s problems.

“Our principle is for the people and the benefit of the community is paramount,” he said.

Lau added that SUPP is a component party of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), and plays a key role in the Sarawak government.

“We will do our best to address the problems faced by the people,” he said.

He also called on the people to fully support the GPS-led government in the upcoming state election.
