KUCHING:  Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Haji Johari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg yesterday held a closed-door discussion with deputy chief ministers, cabinet colleagues and BN component party chiefs at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Petra Jaya, here.

Present were Deputy Chief Ministers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr. James Jemut Masing and Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Datuk Prof. Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Dato Sri Dr. Stephen Rundi Utom and PDP president Dato’ Seri Tiong King Sing.

At the end of the hour-long discussion, his cabinet clleagues and the other leaders took the opportunity to wish the Chief Minister a happy 67th birthday that fell yesterday (4 August). They surprised him with a birthday whose candles the jovial leader consented to blow off followed by cutting of the cake.

Later, in the evening in a separate ocassion, the Chief Minister and his wife, Datin Amar Dato Hajah Juma’ani TunTuanku Haji Bujang received at their residence the visit of an entourage of an 11-year-old cancer-stricken girl, Norhafifabte Mohd Shuhaimi from Penang whose wish-list includes a visit to Kuching.
