MIRI: Police detained a man suspected of being a drug pusher in an operation here.
Miri OCPD ACP Lim Meng Seah said the suspect, 39, was arrested by narcotics police and was found in possession of methamphetamine weighing 9.15gm with a street value of RM1,350.
A house in Jalan Dato Permaisuri 2D, Taman Desa Indah 2 was raided at 9.20am yesterday.
ACP Lim added that the suspect is currently being detained at the Miri Central Police Station.
The case is being investigated under Section 39A (1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
The suspect tested positive for drug use and preliminary investigation revealed that he has a record for drug-related offences.
