KUCHING: Trienekens Sarawak Sdn Bhd as an environmental sustainability advocate has worked on several solid waste separation and recycling projects with Kuching city councils, schools, and communities over the years.
In a social media post commemorating the National Recycling Day on Friday (Nov 11), Trienekens said the practice of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle (3R) has been an essential part of the people’s daily life as it paves the way to sustainable living.
“We would like to give a big thank you to all who have initiated the steps towards recycling. Through such consolidated efforts, we can collectively elevate the equality of our environment by improving our waste management habits and ultimately protecting our environment as well as conserving our natural resources.
“Let’s start recycling today and maintain 3R habits because small actions can make a big difference,” it said.
Trienekens shared some easy recycling tips that can be practiced by members of the public at home, school, and the workplace namely separate recyclable items from the normal household waste, wash, rinse, and dry the recyclable items to keep them clean and free of liquid or residual content.
Once these steps are done, they can bring their recyclables to the nearest recycling centre.
