KUCHING: The Sarawak Women’s Day celebration is set to take place at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on September 28.

This was announced by Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah at a press conference at a hotel here
yesterday.

“This year’s theme is ‘Women in safety and security’.We have also decided that the programme will be named ‘Sarawak Women’s Day – In Good Hands’,” said Fatimah.

She revealed that a book featuring personalities who embodied the safety and security theme would be launched to commemorate the event.

“It will be a coffee table book. We will feature figures from the security sector such as public
security, national security, cyber and information security, environmental security and financial security.

“As you aware, the categories are extensive. We have to choose the persons to be featured as there are so many of them.

“Besides the book, we will also crown a woman figure for   2019,” added Fatimah.
