KUCHING: Companies or customers can file statutory documents with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) at all its delivery counters nationwide.

This is in line with SSM’s statement issued on Dec 25 last year regarding the temporary closure of the Malaysian Business Reporting System (MBRS) until this coming Feb 28 for the purpose of system maintenance.

“As an alternative, customers can submit documents of Annual Statement (PT), Financial Statements and Reports (PK), Exempt Private Company (EPC), Unaudited Financial Statements, and application for exemption or extension of time for PT or PK, Exemption Application (EA) through the counters at SSM offices nationwide.

“SSM understands the difficulties encountered and requests customers to give way to the maintenance work of this MBRS system to be completed,” it said in a statement today (Dec 31).

SSM further mentioned that it always ensured that the information supplied to customers was up-to-date.

Maintenance works on the MBRS system does not prevent customers from accessing the latest company information updated through the MyCoID system.

“To reduce the impact on companies affected by the closure of the MBRS system, SSM provides an exemption fee for late submission of the above statutory documents from Jan 1 (tomorrow) to 31 this year.

“As a guide to customers, the procedure for submitting statutory documents has been uploaded in the form of frequently asked questions (FAQs) which can be accessed on the website www.ssm.com.my,” it added.
