MUKAH: A total of 2000 packets of porridge were distributed to the residents of Mukah during the Porridge Distribution Programme held at the Sarawak Baitulmal Fund (TBS) premise here recently.

It was held in conjunction with TBS Mukah division’s Kasih Ramadan Program, in collaboration with the Mukah District office, Mukah District Police headquarters and the Malaysian Information Department of Mukah.

TBS Mukah division head, Osman Immun, said that this programme was held for the first time together with those agencies.

At the event, TBS also handed out school bags to eligible recipients.

“In addition, for recipients of TBS livelihood assistance, they will also receive Aidilfitri aid, God willing, it will be credited to their respective bank accounts before Hari Raya Aidilfitri,” he said in his speech.

For the record, the TBS ‘Back To School’ assistance has been presented to 42 recipients consisting of 19 families.

Additionally, the Al-Bait Eid Clothes Infak Project, in collaboration with the Al-Bait Leadership Foundation, was also held during the programme.

Among those in attendance were Shahrulizan Madian, Information Officer of the Malaysian Information Department Mukah, Sarawak District office Mukah assistant administrator, Dora Ramli, and the Deputy Chairman of the Darul Husna Mosque Police Headquarters Mukah, Sub-Inspector Ismail Roseri.
