KUCHING: Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS) has donated items to frontliners who are serving at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) vaccination centre (PPV) here.

The said donation, which was distributed at Kozi Square PPV, an extension of SGH PPV, consists of basic necessities such as food (100 packs), drinking water (20 boxes) as well as office equipment and other special equipment assistance.

“The PPV here is one of the most active PPVs this week. We hope that the assistance can help ease the burden of the frontliners. We are very proud to be able to work with the Ministry of Health,” said TBS general manager Datuk Abang Mohd Shibli Abang Mohd Nailie in a press conference after handing over the donation to the frontliners here on Monday (June 21).

He said TBS started coming to the aid of frontliners statewide since Covid-19 hit the country last year.

“We have been helping out frontline personnel serving at quarantine centres, PPVs, roadblocks and so on throughout the state since last year,” he said.

Also present during the handover of donation ceremony was SGH deputy general manager Bolhassan Iskandar Taibi; SGH deputy director in medical, Dr Hayati Jaafar; and head of Development and Endowment Sector, Abg Faisal Abg Marzuki.
