SRI AMAN: Seven ITF (International Taekwondo Federation) Sarawak-Sri Aman taekwondoists here are preparing for the upcoming National Inter-School Taekwondo Championship in Selangor on July 22 and 23.

The first timers are raring to represent their division, and their coach and chief instructor Richard Liang couldn’t be prouder when he said: “We are immensely proud of our students’ accomplishments and their unwavering commitment to taekwondo.

“Their double promotions at the recent upgrading test serve as a testament to their diligence and dedication. We eagerly look forward to supporting them as they prepare for the championship, where they will showcase their skills among the country’s finest taekwondo practitioners.”

Richard, a certified 3rd dan degree black belter, who conducts classes at Che Chuan Khor Moral Uplifting Society here, has 40 students from primary and secondary schools under his charge.

“The training programme at ITF Sarawak-Sri Aman places great emphasis on promoting core tenets of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. Students follow a syllabus that spans three months or longer, culminating in grading and upgrading tests.
