I’ll help GPS win big

KUCHING: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has given his personal commitment to help Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) to win big in the 12th state election.  He, however, said he did not know when the state election would be held.  “Do not ask me when the election will be held, it is up to Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg to decide. “But, I promise that we will work together because this close cooperation (of Perikatan Nasional or PN and GPS is very important,” he told reporters after visiting Sarawak General Hospital’s (SGH) new Day Care Centre here today (April 2).  The prime minister said the close ties between the federal and state governments is proof of the current cooperation.  “Therefore, we hope that this (cooperation) can be strengthened further for the development of the people in the country and Sarawak as well,” he said.  The State Legislative Assembly’s term is set to expire this June, paving the make way for the next state election.
