KUCHING: Sarawak Assistant Transport Minister II Datuk Henry Harry Jinep visited Jalan Jiu Phin in Tondong, Bau over the weekend.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) statement on Monday (Jan 10), the visit was to assess the conditions of the 1.2km gravel road leading to a house belonging to one Liew Nyat Kuat.
Also accompanying Henry, who is also the Tasik Biru assemblyman, was Merici Ceylist, the assistant engineer of the Bau District Council (MDB).
Merici said MDB would maintain the road, including paving work.
He added that funds under the Malaysian Road Records Information System (MARRIS) would be used in addition to proposing allocations from the federal government under the 12th Malaysia Plan.
Also present was MDB member Richard Voon.
