KUCHING: The team building programme will benefit the civil servants in terms of building their integrity and self-esteem which is important in the development of the state government.

In stating this, Utilities and Telecommunication Minister Datuk Julaihi Narawi said that one of the objectives of this programme is to build and strengthen team work towards ensuring excellent productivity.

“This programme is indeed timely and needed by our ministry. This is because our role in delivering our services is important and will have an impact on the development agenda in Sarawak.

“Moreover, for it to be in line with the state government’s desire to improve the quality of public service throughout Sarawak, I am glad that such a programme was organised successfully,” he said.

He said this during the ministry’s team building closing ceremony at Damai Beach Resort today.

Following this, he pointed out that the long term plan of the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS2030) is what drives Sarawak to be more developed.

For that, he called on his ministry to work together in discussing how to effectively execute the PCDS2030 plans to make Sarawak a developed state by 2030.

“I hope everyone here will play their own role, duties and responsibilities to further increase and strengthen the cooperation that meets the plans made by the government and our ministry.

“I also hope that our ministry will be one of the ministries that moves the development agenda prepared by the government,” he said.
