KUCHING: There is no word to describe the gloom as the remains of the late ASP Aldrin Gonda arrived at the MASkargo building here yesterday morning.

His white coffin was carried by police officers and cargo staff to his parents Gonda Bong Mim Fui and Milah Majin.

As his parents, wife Anastasia Chu and their six-year-old son, and loved ones approached the coffin, tears streamed down their faces, grieving their loss.

Indeed, no one would expect to come back home in such a way.

The late ASP Aldrin was fatally injured in a vehicle accident while on duty in Alor Setar, Kedah on April 19.

It is learnt that his remains would be buried today at Kampung Terbat Leba in Tebakang, some 120km from Kuching.
