MUKAH: The Sarawak government remains committed to developing SME’s human capital by adopting technologies.

Education and Technological Research Assistant Minister Dr Annuar Rapaee said with technology rapidly evolving and converging, there is a stronger urgency for SMEs to leverage on new developments in Sarawak to enhance efficiency and increase productivity to better compete and grow.

“The adoption of new technologies, human capital development, promotion of entrepreneurship, innovation and Research & Development will help to create a comprehensive ecosystem covering human capital development for state’s growth in new era.

“There are a lot of related technologies like artificial intelligence and Internet of Things that SMEs need to adopt before they can be a smart manufacturing entity.
