SIBURAN: Police arrested a teenage boy in an illegal online gambling raid in a coffee shop on Monday (Dec 14).

Padawan police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan said a police team carried out an ‘Ops Dadu’ raid at a premises in Siburan Town District around 2.40pm.

The team found the boy sitting at a table. 

“Inspections led to the seizure of a mobile phone believed to have been used for online gambling sales, RM201 cash and a piece of paper with numbers and passwords,” he said.

Aidil added the teenager, who admitted he was working as an online gambling salesman, was brought to the police station for further actions.

The case is being investigated under Section 4(1)(c) of the Common Gaming House Act 1953.
