BETONG: Two teenagers survived without a scratch after their car overturned and hit a telecommunication pole along Jalan Semumok Atas on Monday (Aug 23).
It is said that they were trying to avoid a pothole on the road. The 18-year-old teens were heading home from the town when the accident happened.
Passers-by, who witnessed the incident around 5pm, managed to rescue the victims from their car.
Firemen from the Betong station were deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call. They helped to move the car from the road and rearrange the pole to ensure the safety of road users.
