MUKAH:  Tabung Gagasan Anak Bumiputera Sarawak (Tegas ) held its Project of Dream Realised (Pro-DR) roadshow here on Tuesday featuring a mini STEM playground.

The roadshow was aimed at promoting education in science, technology, engineering and mathematic.

Tegas outreach programme manager Fredick Kevin Buseli said the mini playground was introduced in order to enable students and youths to see and experience the fun of playing STEM activities.

“When they enjoy playing the activities, hopefully they will develop interest in them and indirectly would help nurture their interest in STEM education,” he said in his welcoming speech at the roadshow at Dewan Suarah Mesra here.

Fredick  added among STEM activities introduced included virtual reality (VR) drone simulator, drone flying, sumo robot, robot soccer game, line follower robot, sensor robot, drone and robot exhibition, STEM construct and build game, and mind games.

According to him, Tegas also invited other strategic partners such as Sarawak State Library, Malaysia Chemistry Department, Planetarium Sultan Iskandar and others to provide STEM exhibition for students and youth in the district.
