KUCHING: The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives have announced the appointment of Khusiri Salleh as the new manager of Tekun National for Sarawak.
Its minister Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said Khusiri has extensive experience and is able to bring Tekun Nasional Sarawak to greater heights.
“He has vast experience in management-related fields and this is indeed suitable with his new job at Tekun Nasional Sarawak,” he said in a statement today.
He said with the appointment, it is hoped that he can further strengthen Tekun’s operation and services in Sarawak.
“I also hope he is able to perform the duties and responsibilities entrusted to him more effectively to the business community, especially the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and micro entrepreneurs,” he said.
Tekun National was established in Nov 1998 and its objective is to promote simple and quick financing facilities to Bumiputeras in order to kick-start and further expand their businesses.
