Stalls open for business at the Telaga Air Festival

KUCHING: About 2,000 crowd flooded the first day of Telaga Air Festival 2019 held at Kampung Telaga Air Waterfront here, yesterday.

The event celebrated its 10th edition with more than about 50 local vendors participating.

Santubong MP Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar commended the involvement of Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) for organising the event which definitely opened up economic spin-offs for the local community.

The annual Telaga Air Festival has been included in the Sarawak State Tourism Calendar.

Activities in conjunction with Telaga Air Festival.

The two-day event ends later today with MPP chairman Lo Khere Chiang expected to officiate at the closing ceremony in the evening.

Located 40 minutes’ drive (by road) from Kuching city, Kampung Telaga Air is a Malay fishing village and is famous for its Homestay Programme.
